Boots is the UK’s leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer, with more than 2,500 stores across the UK, more than 600 Boots optician practices and almost 500 hearing care stores. The chain is investing in its beauty proposition, overhauling the in-store experience in 24 of its flagship spaces to create “trending zones” and “discovery areas” where customers can experiment and join in live demonstrations. Around 200 beauty specialists will also be stationed in stores to help guide shoppers looking for beauty solutions across multiple brands. Boots is also introducing around 20 new beauty brands, including Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, in selected stores and online. The brand is sponsoring the magazine Glamour’s live beauty festivals for 12 months, and is focusing on giving women “the confidence to be whoever they want to be” in its summer advertising campaign, which shows women laughing at the traditional call to be “beach ready”. Boots is also sponsoring the women’s football teams of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
